Senior Data Analyst

Job Description

SENIOR DATA ANALYST, Human Resources, will compile reports and interpret data in order to communicate key HR metrics that will help in making sound business decisions; will use existing platforms and systems (Tableau, Cognos, SPSS Modeler, SQL Developer) to extract, profile, clean, transform, integrate, interpret, and visualize data; will conduct research and analysis of MIT workforce, including (but not limited to) turnover, movement of talent within the organization, staff diversity and Affirmative Action progress; will generate reports for the HR community that contain meaningful, accurate information and are easy to understand; will assist the Associate Director, HR Analytics, and other team members in developing reports and processes for reliable and scalable information delivery to stakeholders across MIT; will assist with identifying data and metrics that will contribute to and support Human Resources initiatives; will combine data from various systems to provide customer satisfaction and performance measurement for the HR functions and programs; will analyze data in order to identify areas of concern, opportunities for improvement, and/or best practices to support and inform the decision-making of HR business partners and will present ideas verbally and in writing.Job Requirements:

REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree and seven years directly related experience; robust organizational skills; the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment; proficiency in MS Excel and Tableau; knowledge of SQL; excellent communication skills, conceptual skills to understand and characterize business needs and to design tailored analytical solutions.
