Summary of Position

The position will be responsible for supporting all data collection, analysis, and dissemination needs for the Children’s Behavioral Health (CBH) team at the IOD. This includes supporting the development of data maps, wireframes, databases, data reporting and collection procedures, data management, reporting, visualizations, and dissemination. The data and evaluation specialist will assist with the development of reports, and data for presentations and other publications across CBH projects, and will assist staff to design and disseminate surveys, and measures for process and outcome data collection and evaluation. The position will support the development of research and evaluation activities for local, state, and federal grants and contracts in children’s behavioral health and working with the director and leaders to create a research agenda. Reporting directly to the IOD CBH Director, the position will work closely with program support staff and the IOD Marketing and Communications staff, as needed. The data and evaluation specialist will be fluent in QuickBase, Qualtrics, Redcap, Excel, Tableau, NIRS, and other tools and platforms.

• At least three (3) or more years of post-graduate experience as an evaluator or data analyst.
• Experience designing and implementing project or program evaluations
• Experience working on research and or project-based teams
• Experience creating and producing research or evaluation reports for external funders
• Experience developing evaluation measures
• Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations including individuals with lived experience, their families, and other related stakeholders.
• Documented commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion through research, service, teaching, or volunteerism.
• High degree of self-motivation, initiative, and ability to work both independently and with diverse constituencies.
• Willingness to travel both regionally and nationally.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Understanding of application of data visualization tools or software

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in public administration, mental health, public health, healthcare Administration, psychology, social work, or related discipline.
• Experience in higher education settings
• Data visualization and data dashboard design experience
• Experience in the engagement of people with disabilities/lived experience in evaluation or project work.
• Direct practice, personal, or professional connection to lived experience with disability.
• Familiarity and experience with inferential statistics and statistical software
• Ongoing supervisory experience and high-level management skills which includes support employees and multiple levels.

  • Participates in and collaborates with colleagues as a member of the IOD Children’s Behavioral Health Team to create, assess, and deliver consistent, high-quality practice.
