This position will provide individual and group psychological counseling and crisis response to students, consultation to faculty and staff, campus outreach and support other counseling center needs and projects as appropriate.
This position will coordinate training activities for the Counseling Center and monitor compliance as needed, in collaboration with Center an Campus Leadership.

- Master’s degree in counseling, psychology or related discipline, and two years of full-time licensed counseling experience in a mental health agency or counseling center.
- NH License or license eligible as a mental health professional.
- Computer skills as required by department for necessary reporting and electronic communications.
- Exemplary written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
- Specialization and/or certification (LADC, Disordered Eating Specialist, EMDR, etc.)
- Technologically Adept: proficient in Microsoft Office 365, experience with or a willingness to learn Titanium, CCAPS and time management software.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion.
- Recent and relevant clinical experience with students, including members of the LGBTQIA+ community.

- Provides individual and group counseling.
- Consultation services to faculty and staff regarding psychological issues which adversely affect the mental health of students.
- Participation in emergency on-call rotation.
- Participation in individual supervision/consultation with director and presentation at clinical/medical staff meetings.
- Provide outreach and support for campus as needed/requested.
- Other duties as assigned by Director (committees, projects, etc.).
Duty/Responsibility
- The Training Coordinator is responsible for obtaining competency as a supervisor according to their NH licensing board with adherence to ethical standards and practices of supervision.
- This may include continuing education of supervision practices and professional development.
- As the Training Coordinator will be contracting practicum and internship students under their clinical licensure, additional liability insurance is recommended.
- The Training Coordinator is advised to join the professional organizations such as American Counseling Association to familiarize themselves with ACES.
- The Training Coordinator provides supervision, leadership and training to practicum and internship students (working on their graduate degrees) as well as onboarding new employees to the PSUCC.
- This entails providing orientation and training of documentation, practices, procedures, and an overview of PSUCC values.
- Other duties that the Training Coordinator provide but not be limited to is: to interview and evaluate candidates for practicum/internship positions, provide weekly supervision to practicum/internship students, be available to provide additional impromptu supervision and support as well as questions/concerns throughout the day (e.g. crisis/emergency situations with student clients), discuss and encourage counselor self-care, review and provide feedback on documentation which will be signed by Training Coordinator, use of various electronic systems (such as Supervision Assist and Time2Track) to track supervision hours, keep documentation of supervision, evaluate practicum and internship students as well as provide feedback to practicum and internship students’ graduate school supervisors/advisers, gatekeeping responsibilities according to the ethical guidelines of various professional boards.
- In addition, the Training Coordinator will become a NH licensing board approved supervisor, to be able to supervise unlicensed clinicians who have their graduate degrees and are working on becoming NH licensed mental health clinicians.
- As a NH board approved supervisor, the Training Coordinator will supervise these unlicensed clinicians for their required post graduate degree supervised hours for licensure.
- The Training coordinator will supervise the unlicensed clinicians’ cases and documentation under their licensure, as done with the practicum and internship students (working on their graduate degrees) described above.
- In this capacity, the Training Coordinator will supervise the unlicensed clinicians until they become NH licensed mental health professionals, completing necessary documentation for the NH licensing board.
