Job Summary
The Order Unit places new orders for one-time and ongoing purchases in all languages for the University of Michigan Library in Ann Arbor. The unit processes renewals of databases requiring fees, resource availability, access models, prices in all languages, claiming one-time, on demand, and prepaid orders, and facilitating funding for package management.
You will contribute to the broader scope of the unit by placing new orders for one-time and continuing resources in all formats from multiple vendors in all Western European and some non-Western European languages for all University of Michigan Library locations. You will also be responsible for renewals, cancellations, claiming, and updating resources in collaboration with supervisors, vendors, publishers, and selectors. You will report to the head of the Order Unit.

Responsibilities*
60% Place orders for all new single purchases and continuing resources.
20% Review and process database renewals.
15% Process cancellations, claims, and update order status changes.
