Summary of Position
The Limited Business Faculty is a full-time, 9-month/164-day position. The faculty member is responsible for teaching 15 credits each fall and spring semester.Courses may be taught using both traditional and non-traditional delivery methods, including face-to-face, online, computer-aided, distance learning, self-paced, and interdisciplinary. Faculty may need to teach at any RRCC campus and at a variety of times (days, evenings, and some weekends).
The faculty member develops and evaluates curricula, ensures program alignment with community needs and regulatory requirements, participates in assessment activities, documents curriculum changes based on assessments, implements retention strategies, and integrates technology into coursework.Additional responsibilities involve maintaining office hours, assisting with departmental duties, providing academic advising to students, participating in college events, serving on committees, and representing the college in the community. Professional development is a key component of the role, with opportunities for growth to support both teaching and service functions aligned with the college's goals.

This position is a limited faculty position with a limited contract from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026. This position may be eligible to move to a regular faculty position, pending budget and additional approvals, for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Master's degree in related field with 18 graduate hours in Business / Management / Marketing / Small Business Management (specific content-area of course instruction), AND have, or qualify for, postsecondary CTE credential including 2000 non-teaching occupational hours within the last 7 years.

**Current teachers applying to teach RRCC campus-based, online, or concurrent enrollment CTE courses may include non-teaching occupational hours that are older than the 7-year requirement if they have the required degree (and license/certifications as listed) and a minimum of 3 years full-time teaching experience in the discipline/program or 6 years part-time teaching experience in the discipline/program.

Tested experience may be used in lieu of the degree requirement on a case-by-case basis.

Physical & Cognitive Demands

Occasionally moves, positions, and transports classroom and lab equipment, up to 10 lbs.

This is largely a sedentary role. This position operates in an office environment and constantly uses a computer, and routinely uses standard office equipment including phones, copiers, etc.

The person in this position constantly communicates with internal and external constituents and students. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Cognitive demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, synthesizing, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and interpersonal skills.

Advertised Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $58,261 to $74,328, commensurate with education and experience. This salary is based on 164 contract days. This is a full-time, 9-month, FLSA exempt position. This position is a limited faculty position with a limited contract from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2026. This position may be eligible to move to a regular faculty position, pending budget and additional approvals, for the 2026/2027 academic year. This position has been exempted from the State Classified System. Faculty may have the option to teach additional course overloads in accordance with college policies and procedures for additional compensation.
